Education has always been a top priority for almost everyone. Parents try to give their kids the best education possible. They go out of their ways and provide the best schools and institutions for their child. Every child has the curiosity to learn and explore things.
The visual form of learning is better than verbal learning. We see kids going through YouTube videos and learning something very quickly compared to other channels. It is a lot more fun with the personalized classroom. Best of teachers clarify doubts and help in better understanding. Regular tests and quizzes ensure that students are progressing as per schedule.

The Founding Of BYJU’s
Byju’s was established by Byju Raveendran. Both his parents were teachers. He never had any pressure from his parents regarding learning. He finished his engineering and got his job at a multinational company. He returned to Bangalore after 2 years. Few of his friends were preparing for CAT. Byju was great at mathematics. His friends asked him to teach them. He agreed. He taught them and took the exam by himself just for fun. He scored a 100% in his exam. He had no interest in MBA, so he went back abroad.
He again came to India in 2005. His friends asked him to teach again. This time, he stayed in Bangalore for 6 weeks. He taught to around 1000 students this time. In the beginning, for free, but, as he realized that people are enjoying his classes, he started charging fees. He got a great response. Seeing this, he decided to quit his job and entered the teaching field. He started teaching in four to five cities. He earned far more from teaching than he ever earned from his job. His popularity grew rapidly and his students named his classes ‘Byju’s Classes’.
During his teaching, he realized that in India, the base of the education system isn’t proper. He then focused on teaching kids too. In the year 2011, he started a company named ‘Think and Learn’ which was also successful. In the year 2015, he launched ‘Byju’s: The Learning App’. Within one year, the app has 55 lakh users. Seeing the fame and reputation of Byju’s, many investors were willing to invest in it. After getting investors, the company’s success was more than before.
From nothing to one of the world’s most popular education startups, Byju has proved that teaching is as lucrative as other businesses and that teachers can make the world a better place by educating children who do not have many resources. Byju’s gave employment to 4000 plus people. In the year 2017, the company’s revenue was ₹260 crore and reached ₹520 crores in 2018. In today’s date, the company’s net worth is around ₹37,000 crores.
